S1 Training

Requirements

• VATSIM Account is assigned to vACC Germany, according to "first steps ATC".
• Joined FIR München as "full member".
• Registered in the forum for one of the S1 Basic Lessons. Dates will be published and announced in this subforum.
• Installed latest Euroscope version and set it up according to the manual.
• Downloaded "EDMM Full-Package" for the latest AIRAC.
• Installed Audio for Vatsim Standalone Client.
• Installed Teamspeak and gained access to Vatsim Germany teamspeak according to the manual.

Procedure of the training

1. Participate in a S1 Basic Lesson held by FIR München.
2. Complete and pass the self-study course for S1 training.
3. Register for the S1-ATSimTest via Moodle to receive S1 rating.
4. Complete and pass the S1-ATSimTest.
5. Complete and pass at least one of the SOP tests for EDJA, EDMA, EDMO, EDQM. (EDDE and EDDC will be introduced soon).

Contents of the Basic Lesson

• Introduction to VATSIM.
• Introduction to the forum and our knowledgebase.
• Registration and explanation of the moodle course for self-studying.
• Introduction to EuroScope.
• Prior to the Basic Lesson, the textbook Delivery must be worked through independently. The contents of the book are assumed to be known for the Basic Lesson.
